Digital Box

Does the Digital Box have any scart sockets and phono outputs sockets at the
front or back and is there a picture of the box online anywhere?

Which box is better the Pace or Samsung and what are they fitting now?

a few of the old pace have passthru and phono out.
mostly now they are fitting samsung stuff it has no passthru (though you can
ask for the adaptor to be fitted at the time if inst) and no phono output
sadly
the only way around this is a scart to 3*phono adaptor like on PS2 etc.
all boxes have 2*scart outs

I have seen a number of comments in this group saying that the Samsung
boxes do not have pass-through on RF. When our old Pace box was
replaced during the speed upgrade I was therefore surprised to note
that our new Samsung box DOES have RF pass-through without an adaptor.
Is it possible that there are two forms of the Samsung box and NTL use
the a box with pass-through in those areas where they are contracted
to provide RF on the cable? For information I live on the Wirral in an
ex C&W area and depend on RF for terrestrial channels and also use it
to distribute the NTL signal to other TVs in the home.

thats interesting.
i investigated the new samsung when it came out, and none of the online
specs mentioned it.
even spoke to the engineer when he came and he said it was not able to do
it....

...very interesting developement
